Merry Christmas!

Luke 2:10-11
“But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.’”

The angel’s announcement to the shepherds that Jesus was born was described as “good news that will cause great joy for all people” in Luke 2:10–11. There is so much awe and importance in this moment. This remarkable news is chosen to be shared with the shepherds, who are lowly, everyday individuals. God’s message meets them where they are, reminding us that everyone can experience the joy of Christ’s arrival, regardless of background, situation, or status.

This good news is not just for a single night or a single people; it is for all, and it endures. The birth of Jesus, the Messiah, brings hope into our world, revealing a God who sees, loves, and is near. When the angel says, “Do not be afraid,” it is a reminder that even in a world of challenges, we are invited to trust in this gift of Emmanuel—“God with us.” The news of Jesus’ birth continues to be a source of light and joy, encouraging us to celebrate the love and peace He brings, not just on Christmas, but every day.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
