(A Notes to Self Series)
Quote for Wednesday, 15 May 2019
“You can’t make yourself feel positive, but you can choose how to act, and if you choose right, it builds your confidence.”
― Julien Smith, The Flinch
We can’t control people and situations all the time. However, it has always been said that we have power over our own reactions and corresponding choices and actions. Things may be easier said than done at times, though.
What do you think? Do you agree with this quote? Could our circumstances really change for the better by changing the way we think? Could we still have the chance to make things better for ourselves, our loved ones, or those who need such most if we’d wield our power over our instincts, impulses, and reactions to triggers and other stimuli?
Yet how do we all of such? What do you recommend? What worked for you?
I’m looking forward to knowing your thoughts.
