May is a special month. If my mum didn’t pass away around 15 years ago, she would have already been 71 years old on 30 May. Both of my parents-in-law were also born the same month. Further, some of my best childhood memories were of the nightly “Alay” or Marian Flower offering rites that we traditionally do in honour of the Blessed Virgin who, through her role as Christ’s mother, became instrumental in paving the way for the gift of salvation.

To all of you who are born this month, this post is for you as well. Happy birth month of May! Cheers to the wonderful gift of life! May we all live it to the fullest and the best way possible.
