The Night Will Give In

(A Notes to Self Series)

Quote for Saturday, 6 April 2019

“The longest way must have its close – the gloomiest night will wear on to a morning.”

― Harriet Beecher Stowe, Uncle Tom’s Cabin

It has been often said that light could be appreciated more in darkness. True enough, it’s during our darkest moments that we get to notice every single act of kindness that comes our way. It’s during our toughest times that we get to know who really care for us more. It’s when the night seems too long, dreary, and hopeless that the sunshine of a new day makes a greater difference. With this quote, we are assured that every sad thing will come to pass and there’s always hope for what’s better that we could look forward to.

What do you think? Do you agree with this quote? Could our circumstances really change for the better eventually? Could we still have the chance to make things better for ourselves, our loved ones, or those who need such most? How? What do you recommend? What worked for you?

I’m looking forward to knowing your thoughts.
