Genuine Beauty

(A Notes to Self Series)

Quote for Monday, 1 April 2019

“Sometimes the most beautiful people are beautifully broken.”

― Robert M Drake

They say the true beauty is not merely skin deep. Not everything could be gauged merely by what’s visible to the eyes. There’s an inherent value, goodness or worth that could only be perceived through further introspection. At times, those who have undergone the most horrible or stupefying situations or conditions turn out with the most empathy, compassion, understanding, and effort to make things better not just for themselves but also to their loved ones and the ones whose lives are affected by their decisions.

What do you think? Do you agree with the quote? Could our circumstances really change for the better? Could we still have the chance to make things better for ourselves, our loved ones, or those who need such most even if we had already been broken to seemingly irreparable pieces? How? What do you recommend? What worked for you?

I’m looking forward to knowing your thoughts.
