(A Notes to Self Series)
Quote for Sunday, 31 March 2019
“My hope still is to leave the world a bit better than when I got here.”
― by Jim Henson
I believe that deep within each and every of us is that inherent desire to do what’s right and to make a positive difference. If only it’s easier to go for the right path, I think a lot if not all of us would already be on the better way instead of the other way around.
The good thing is that it’s never too late to go back and make amends. Today’s gospel on the parable of the prodigal son is a testament to that. There’s always a light at the tunnel’s end, a silver lining behind the dark clouds, second chances, and a promise of forgiveness and redemption.
What do you think? Do you agree with this quote? Could our circumstances really change for the better? Could we still have the chance to make things better for ourselves, our loved ones, or those who need such most?
What is our legacy to our world? How would people remember us? What do you recommend? What worked for you?
I’m looking forward to knowing your thoughts.
